Cathy's birthday was fast approaching. And with that her plan to celebrate also warming up. We were unsure if we could manage an actual celebration with the new schedules.
It was Jaison who asked,
"So dear what is it that you want?"
" I want a camera papa!"
"You are aware it is expensive"
"Yes Papa...but its my bithday!!"
"Hmm!! still its way too expensive...in that case you will have to choose between party and camera."
This was difficult for her. She already had elaborate dreams of how she would dress up , what colour wings she would have and which cake she would cut. She was deep in thoughts. I looked complainingly at Jaison..this was hard on her!
He just smiled.
Cathy returned...having made up her mind, "OK papa! I will have the camera....but buy me a cake , some balloons and we four will have a party....will that be ok?!"
Jaison was touched.....Yes my Chakkara vava!!
On 29th October both of us could stretch to include a party with the dearest of families...and few of her friends...it was less elaborate...but our best effort...Cathy went to her school, dance class...returned tired to celebrate her party...with her cake and friends and a brand new digital kodak camera.
